 A Gargantuan Tribute Thread
The War of the Gargantuas is probably my all-time favorite Kaiju movie, or at least shares that top spot. To honor it, I decided to scour the Internet for anything interesting, rare, or unusual that I can find regarding this movie and share it here with all my fellow CDF fans.

Here is the original motion picture soundtrack. It includes things like Gaira's scream, sound effects, and the regular & instrumental version of the song "Feel in My Heart (The Words Get Stuck in My Throat)". There's also a section for that Japanese song the hikers were singing that includes --oddly-- "Yankee Doodle"...sung in Japanese!

EDIT:: I just noticed the youtube link for the soundtrack has been yanked. However, I found another--shorter--version

 Re: A Gargantuan Tribute Thread
I bought the original Japanese version on VHS back in the early 2000's along with the Daimajin trilogy and some Gamera flicks. Can't remember the website and I'm sure it's long gone by now. Before that I had the US version on VHS which was storebought in the 90's.
I have the double DVD now with "Rodan" which also includes both versions of "Garganutas" in widescreen (big plus for me since I only ever saw the US version in crummy TV format).

I admit when I first saw the Japanese version with all the Frankenstein references, that it was weird-- because I never associated this movie with "Frankenstein Conquers the World". After learning it was a sequel and seeing the similarities in characters, it kind of made sense.

Personally, I prefer the US version for a few reasons:
1. I find the US print to be brighter and more color vibrant.
2. I rather watch the dubbed version rather than having to read the subtitles
3. There are differences in the music used and I like the music in the US version more. I think this may have to do more with growing up with this version.
4. I believe in the US version, when Gaira eats the woman at the airport, they show him spitting out her dress. In the Japanese version, they quickly cut to a bouquet of flowers that were dropped on the ground.

There may be some other differences, but those are the main ones.
