While I was seriously considering buying the Filmation Sc-iFi Box Set, I do have to admit that I really only have vague memories of the shows (and I'm pretty sure that I didn't even see ALL of them in the first place). Might be a Netflix thing rather than a purchase (they all have already been in my queue for quite a while).

Ocean State Job Lot has DVDs on sale for $2 each. I haven't stopped by to see the selection yet.

I saw the ad for that. I have a feeling that by the time I'd be able to get to an Ocean State Job Lots store, they'll be well picked over and all the good stuff would be gone. Did you get to one CDF Fan? Any good stuff?

I was at the local Job Lot this past weekend and saw a rack of DVDs at 2 bucks each but unless you're looking for movies such as "Dirty Dancing 2" and other straight to video titles I wouldn't go out of my way.

Deep Discount DVD just announced a sale on select TV shows. I checked and they have Amazing Stories and American Gothic at $18 with free shipping.

More DVD deals at Deep Discount this week including a host of Godzilla movies. I just ordered a 20 pack of classic B movies several of which star Vincent Price. A few dups but for the price I'll take it.

I've been meaning to mention that oldies.com has another of theit pretty much constant sales going on. They've apparently added a bunch of those Alpha Video titles that all cost $5.95 (or 5 for $25)--including a Larry Buchanan double feature of his less-than-stellar TV remakes of not-so-classic movies. Both the movies on this disc are CDF titles though. They are "Zontar, The Thing from Venus" (remake of Roger Corman's "It Conquered the World") and "In the Year 2889" (Remake of Roger Corman's "Day the World Ended"). No, it's not on sale, but thought I'd mention if here anyway (it IS pretty cheap).

I remember this show being mentioned a while back (probably on the old board). I never saw it, but would like to check it out after reading other board members' comments about it.

Great selection of the Midnite Movies! I do have to say that oldies.com has many of these titles (probably not all) even cheaper (believe it or not!). It's worth checking out the prices on them between the two sites. Of course Deep Discount's free shipping has to be factored in too. Even a slightly more expensive DVD can actually be cheaper when you don't have to pay the $3.95 shipping charge!

Oops, sorry! I didn't realize that the Midnite Movies selections on Deep Discount are on sale at the price of two for $10.00! That's a REALLY great price (especially with the free shipping)! I should have looked closer the first time.
