Be honest, you just want to watch Rue McClanahan strip.

 Re: film crew
I'm pretty sure the only one I ever saw was the "Killers From Space" one, which I rented from Netflix back when it first came out. I always meant to see the others, but never got around to it and I think they may have disappeared from Netflix (for a while at least). How many did they end up doing altogether? I wonder if the format simply didn't work all that well for them, if there were legal (or other) issues, or if Mike simply decided he wanted to do the Rifftrax thing instead and put all his effort into that. Or something else...

Oh, and despite the fact that I only saw the "Killers From Space" episode once quite a few years ago I still remember one thing that made me laugh out loud big time. I think it was when you could see an image of the alien "bug eyes" following a road (or something like that) and one of the crew said something like "Coookies!" in a Cookie Monster voice over the scene. It was very simple but hilarious!

and your point is?

i watched the clip above with the audio down. oh yeah! :D

but seriously folks... i do want to see more episodes of this.

col. i remember that bit. i too laughed very hard at that. my favorite line though was when mike said in his stern voice "you couldn't get healthy if your life depended on it!"

cracks me up just typing it.

 Re: film crew
I just checked Netflix to see if I could get The Film Crew's "Killers From Space" and they do indeed still have it. In fact they have four Film Crew discs. I don't know if that's all that they produced (but it sounds about right). A couple of them were actually STILL in my queue from when I put them in a few years back. I rarely get DVDs from Netflix anymore--mostly just stream stuff. I've continued subscribing to the one-at-a-time DVD service though to get stuff that they don't offer streaming. The Film Crew's offerings is a good example of that.

The four titles that Netflix has are:
"Giant of Marathon"
"Hollywood After Dark"
"Wild Women of Wongo"
"Killers From Space"

I saw "Wild Women of Wongo" on hulu a few years ago when it was free, funny stuff. It's still there to stream for free from a computer (with ads) along with "Giant of Marathon" and "Hollywood After Dark:

You would need to subscribe if you wanted to watch it on a TV or mobile device.

Thanks for the information skorch! I never wanted to subscribe to Hulu Plus. It just seemed like I should be able to stream regular Hulu stuff for free on our Roku box, but they only have Hulu Plus available for it. There were a couple shows that my wife wanted to watch that we could only find on Hulu, so I went ahead and subscribed a few months back. We rarely use it, but I just never get around to canceling the subscription (which I'm sure is what they're counting on). I've never really looked into the movies they have avaialble, but this is a reminder that I should do just that. NIce to know I can check out some of these Film Crew flicks for "free".

 Re: film crew
thanks to shout factory's sale i now have all 4 episodes.

only one i haven't watched is the giant of marathon.

hollywood after dark was a riot.

wild women of wongo is such a strange movie. it looks like it was in b & w but someone tried to colorize it. just a very very odd movie.

too bad they didn't do more of these.

i am going to dive into riff trax sooner or later.

 Re: film crew
ok watched the giant of marathon last night and it was fun.

however the extras on the dvd... wow. my wife and i laughed so hard i almost hurt myself.

those extras may have been the funniest bits the flim crew did. i crack up just thinking about it.

there's a commentary by a supposed extra in the movie thats so funny i almost wish they had him comment on the entire movie.

there's also a skit that's so funny... but you need to watch the movie to get it.

great stuff. wish they did more.
