 Fukkatsu no hi (VIRUS)
I follow a site on FB that details naval history from WW II and today they had an article on the submarine USS Spot (SS-413). After reading the article I clicked on the link to read additional history and discovered that this sub was eventually sold to Chile and then used in the movie VIRUS in 1980. Intrigued, I looked up the movie and found that it was available for download from archive.org.

Without a doubt this was one of the worst movies I have ever watched.

Interesting story. And, once again I'm amazed by the fact that whenever someone tells me how terrible a movie is (especially people on this board) I feel a burning need to see it. You'd think I'd take the advice of people who's taste in movies I respect, but for whatever reason it seems that I just need to see the worst movies ever made! The behind-the-scenes sub sub-plot certainly adds an element of interest.

When I first read the title of this thread, I thought "Fukkatsu no hi" was the name of a computer virus and this thread was a warning about it.

It's not so surprising that you like to see "bad" movies, Col. Manning. I do too. In fact, there are websites dedicated to bad movies. Movies that are so bad, they're good (if you know what I mean).

Here are a couple of websites I visit, where people review and discuss terrible movies. If you're into bad movies, the reviews are very entertaining.

Jabootu's Bad Movie Dimension

The Agony Booth
http://www.agonybooth.com/

If this movie is as bad as CDF Fan says, I must also check it out. :D
