 Halloween Weekend Movies
I'm staying local next weekend but I was checking out some cool Halloween movie events in the area.

Friday @ 11PM at Hollywood Hits in Danvers MA. Chillerama http://www.chillerama.com/ 4 shorts that look as bad in the preview as they'll probably be on the big screen. A must see!

Saturday @ Midnight @ The Coolidge Corner Theatre - Annual Halloween Horror Marathon http://www.coolidge.org/content/hallowe ... e-marathon

Sunday and Monday @ The Somerville Theatre - PSYCHO and FRANKENSTEIN 35mm prints from the Universal vault. http://feitheatres.com/somerville-theatre/

For pre-Halloween activities, this whole week at the Somerville are pretty mouth-watering: http://feitheatres.com/somerville-theat ... ster13.jpg

Wow, that's a LOT of great stuff! You gotta love Halloween! Unfortunately I won't be getting anywhere near Boston before the big day. I'm hoping to be able to make it up to Keene on Sunday though! I love how that event preview transcribes the voiceover for the Spooktacular ad. Some great wording and alliteration there!

As the Colonel has said in the past, Halloween certainly has become an embarrassment of riches for we New Englanders these last few years. It's almost tiring how much good stuff there is to do and see in October.

I'd like to be in Keene too, but my ankle bracelet won't permit me to travel outside the area. Actually, we're performing upgrades this weekend and I have to be close by just in case they screw it up.

Don't worry, you'll only be missing THE MOST DEVASTATING MONSTER MATINEE OF YOUR LIFE!!!

Please report back to the board if you make any of the MA screenings, which all have me very jealous of those who can make it to them.

Unfortunately the weather and power outages this weekend put a damper on these events. I really wanted to make it to the Somerville Theatre on Sunday but we had family over as we were the only ones with power. Can't make it today either as we'll be in Newburyport tonight. Oh well....

 Re: Halloween Weekend Movies
So my Halloween weekend scary movie viewing was limited to FRANKENSTEIN MEETS THE WOLF MAN on the big screen yesterday (not bad if you have to pick just one), as Friday and Saturday were filled with CINEMANIACS commitments (no horror to be had in theatrical or DVD new releases this week). I'm going to finish watching the European edit of DAWN OF THE DEAD tonight (part of the DOTD boxed set with three variations of the film), and maybe squeeze in a DVD I have of the 70s ADDAMS FAMILY HALLOWEEN SPECIAL before bedtime. Kind of a week viewing schedule in terms of quantity, unfortunately.
