No release date as of yet but here's the trailer:

Described as an homage to classics like Alien and John Carpenter's The Thing and utilizing all practical effects with no CGI. Since it is partly funded by fans I'm hoping it succeeds and starts a new trend, we'll see....

I also caught some of the behind-the-scene videos for this movie on youtube and I'm impressed. Totally old-school and looks good too. There are some clips there for the 2011 THE THING movie (and behind-the-scene clips too) and it looks very similar in style, although THE THING used CGI in addtion to practical effects.
