 I saw Shin Gojira
I was lucky enough to get tickets. The theater I went to was having two showings, 700pm and 730pm, and the 730pm was sold out

THIS FILM IS INCREDIBLE, I will keep this spoiler free.

One of the more interesting aspects is how they show the way the Japanese form of government works, there is a lot of government infighting.

The destruction caused by Godzilla far surpasses anything we've seen in previous films

It's a little heavy on the U.S. bashing

Toho has dabbled with CGI Godzilla before and this one phenomenal, virtually flawless.

One of the more interesting effects is the fact that G's atomic breath is now purple, which in some Asian countries, the color purple represents death.

This film uses the actual music from the 1954, not re-orchestrated but the actual music

Rumor control says this will get an American Blu-Ray it. I can't recommend it enough

I agree on all points, Daimajinbob! I had read early reviews that it had a strong anti-U.S. message so I was prepared for it.

The damage Godzilla did on Tokyo was impressive! AND the music was classic, so powerful... Godzilla was terrifying!

It's definitely a movie that belongs in my collection.
