Yeah, it's strange how some of these new (and free) channels don't seem to get any attention and nobody seems concerned with getting the word out about them. Hadn't heard of getTV until you mentioned it now, and the only reason I heard of MOVIES! was because someone mentioned it here at the board. Strangely, even tough MOVIES! is a sub-channel of WFXT I haven't been able to get it on my TV. Not sure what would make it different from MeTV, this and the other sub-channels that I have had no problem picking up.

It's a late-60s comedy starring Godfrey Cambridge as a white man (a racist, if I recall) who wakes up one day and finds that he's
turned into a black man. I remember renting this on tape back in the mid-80s, but don't remember much about the film
other than the premise.

The best way to describe Watermelon Man is to think about Archie Bunker waking up one morning as black and how he would see the world and the world sees him. Godfrey Cambridge died very young I remember.

Yeah, I forgot it was going to be on and just happened to tune in a few minutes into tonight's episode. Boy, it's been a LONG time since I've seen Welcome Back Kotter! It was never among my favorite shows, but I certainly did watch it back in the day. Seeing it now feels very nostalgic. I might have to try to watch it on a regular basis.

 Re: ME TV in Boston
I am also happy to see Kotter again!
I used to think Gabe Kaplan was the funniest one on the show. I liked his "Did I ever tell you about my...?" jokes. I was 10 when the show premiered and I remember around 1976 when this show and Happy Days were very popular; especially the Fonz character. I think I watched until Travolta left the show for bigger things after his Saturday Night Fever movie was such a mega hit.

Isn't this similar to what happened with That 70s Show and Ashton Kucher? Or did he remain with the show to the end? I stopped watching that show a few seasons before it ended as well.

Anyone remember the Welcome Back Kotter Dolls?

Re: NEW SHOWS COMING TO METV
I've been seeing quick promos on MeTV for new / returning shows including:

CHiPs
Andy Griffith Show
Baa Baa Black Sheep
Cheers
Man From U.N.C.L.E
Superman

I'm particularly interested in seeing UNCLE because I've never seen it before, but have always wanted to. A 60's spy show made at the height of the James Bond craze.

Ian Fleming actually had a hand in the creation of that show, coming up with the name Napoleon Solo for it.

Never saw much of this as a kid, and someday want to dig in. Ditto for I SPY.

 Re: ME TV in Boston
I'm really liking the new Sunday night lineup coming in September:

10pm: The Man From U.N.C.L.E
11pm: Mission: Impossible
12am: Get Smart
1am: The Saint

I'll definitely be up for Uncle and Mission, but I'll probably miss Get Smart and no way I can stay up for The Saint. Too bad they couldn't start an hour earlier and slip in I SPY at 10pm after Uncle.
That would be a sweet lineup!

Speaking of 60's spy shows, in 1966 NBC made promotional posters for I SPY, GET SMART, and THE MAN FROM U.N.C.L.E. They also made one for STAR TREK and BONANZA of which I have a copy of the I SPY and STAR TREK posters:

I just love the flames coming out the rear of the nacelles AND the hangar deck; it has such a 50's Sci-Fi look to it.

Here are pictures of the other posters:

If it turns out I like THE MAN FROM U.N.C.L.E, I may get that one too.
