Yes, it was a rip off of Jaws, and has been out of print on DVD for a few years now.
But, I looked on DeepDiscount.com and I discovered that it is being re-released on January 1st.
No word yet on a Bluray release.

That's cool. I remember seeing "Orca" at the drive-in as a kid. I always thought it had been a double feature with "The Deep", but now I think it may have been two separate nights that my memory combined together. I took it out from Netflix a couple years ago when it was still available there. Pretty good flick for a Jaws rip-off.

I have yet to see "Orca", but I remember the ads for it very well. They were on the back of all the comicbooks at the time.

I'm glad I got to see it as a kid. I think it holds up pretty well from what I remember, but seeing it at the drive-in as a kid was TERRIFYING!

Orca has been on three times in the last two weeks and I watched it late night a few days ago.
