I'd LOVE to get to this! What a great way to prepare for the release of the new flick!

If it's on their big screen, you're getting Godzilla and darn near actual size.

Cool! You guys are lucky, I can't make it.
I was able to catch it on the big screen (Cambridge?) for my birthday 8-10 yrs ago and loved it.

What I'd really love to watch in a theater is the original King Kong someday.

I saw Godzilla '54 at the Brattle when Rialto did its big re-release, the same run when Skorch saw it.

Also saw the original KONG there. Cool stuff.

I wasn't able to get to any of the Somerville's "Godzilla" screenings, and in fact have never seen it on the big screen. The Coolidge Corner Theatre had "King Kong" as part of its Science on the Screen series a few months ago. I went, but unfortunately had to leave before the movie ended because of a chat I needed to take part of for an online class I was taking. The "science" part of the show was a guy talking about mountain gorillas and such things before the movie. It was very interesting, but if the movie had just been shown I might have been able to see all of it. As it was I had to leave right after the Kong vs. Dinosaur fight (which was very cool to see on the big screen!). I almost NEVER walk out on a movie (even if it totally sucks) and I can't tell you how much I hated having to walk out on "King Kong".
