I went to see this a week and a half ago with a buddy who wanted to see it and was expecting to hate it. Turned out to be a cool scifi thriller, it did borrow heavily from other films such as Alien but wasn't a ripoff of any. If you take a good zombie flick and combine with the Alien films you would have Pandorum. The creatures in the film were scary, fast and totally vicious and the humans were believable for the most part. There were some great scenes that built up the tension and a few twists in the story I didn't see coming.
Best part of all was no matrix-style effects or shaky cam! Unfortunately it tanked at the box office so it may be hard to catch it on the big screen but definitely worth a DVD rental.
