 SCI-FI "AIRSHOW"
Here's a website that, with some very clever photoshopping, presents classic and newer vehicles from science fiction as though they are real. If you've ever been to a real air show, you know how they line up the aircraft for close inspection by the spectators, and the occasional flying demonstrations overhead.
Same thing with this website--only all the vehicles are fictional!

I'll be sure to go back and see what new air--er spacecraft they add!

That is very net. I "liked" them on Facebook and suggested that they add the Landmaster from "Damnation Alley" to the lineup. While it's not an aircraft (or spacecraft) I figured it could be used to shuttle people between some of the larger ships. Imagine how awesome it would be to go to a show like this if it were real?

 Re: SCI-FI "AIRSHOW"
Speaking of airshows, there's one happening down here this weekend. I'm very tempted to go.

I'd like to see the Landmaster and the vehicle from ARK II side by side to compare them. Anyways, that site will never be complete until they add the vehicles from Lost in Space or at the very least the Jupiter 2.

I have to say I've been flying all of these vehicles for years now in my MS Flight Sim game, so what these guys are doing on this site, I've already experienced "first hand". Not only are these vehicles workable, but fully functional with landing gear, lights, and interiors. Here are some of the vehicles I've driven:

The Jupiter 2 really is the cream of the crop for flight simulation. Not only do all the lights work, but all the doors and gear as well! Both lower and upper decks are fully functional and all the sound effects are present. It really is a work of art!
Just showing you a still shot doesn't do it justice. There are numerous videos of this ship on youtube.
It's designed by an outfit called Pendercrafts (along with the pod, chariot, jetpack, flying sub, etc)
Here is a link to the videos

Oh My God, that's AWESOME!

Are you referring to the airshow at Quonset Point Beastball? I was thinking the same thing. We are staying in Narragansett for the week for vacation. We did the same thing last year and went to the airshow. It is disappointing that we won't be able to make it this year. Oh well...

Yeah, The Quonset Air Show was this past weekend, but I didn't get to go. I've gone in years past so I've seen the Thunderbirds before.
One year they had a B-17G that for 50¢, you could climb inside. I got some sweet pics of inside the cockpit, looking out over the starboard engines, bomber's position below the cockpit, radio room, waist gunners position, and looking down to the tailgunner.

Great shot of an F-14 there...I love shark's teeth nose art!

As did my daughter! It was her favorite plane we saw that day.

That must have been great to go into the B-17! Fifty cents well spent. Glad you were able to get some nice pics to remember it.
