We're supposedly getting 2-5 inches in parts of New Hampshire today! Ugh. Good thing I finally have my snow tires on.

Is it true that people in the south really freak out when it snows down there? I remember an episode of King of the Hill where it snowed a couple of inches, and the characters were treating it like some major disaster.

The best way to put it is this, snow in Houston is like having a wining Houston NFL team, it never happens.

For the most part, the city was prepared, most of the city offices were closed by 1pm. People learned from the Ice-Over we had last year, they stayed home today. There weren't TOO many accidents but sadly one was a fatality. People here know how to drive in the rain but have no idea how to handle ice. Luckily, being from MA and having two tours of Germany under my belt, I was prepared.

It was moderately warm here in Houston last week but you could check the news and see that temperatures were dropping steadily. Houston beat the old record of snowfall which occurred Dec 10th 2004. If it snows again, I think everyone in Houston will have a heart attack
