October 26th will be a big day for me as I am replacing my current 60Gb hard drive and replacing it with an 80Gb and I will be installing the much anticipated Mac OS 10.5 Leopard. To really understand the power of this OS I recommend you go to www.apple.com/macosx and watch the video presentation. This version of Mac OS X makes Windows Vista look like Windows 98.

Well the update is complete. I couldn't afford the 80Gb HD though. They made a lot of changes in the user interface and it now has Cover Flow when viewing photos, documents etc. This is a major step forward in Operating Systems. I don't think Windows will ever catch up.

Some of the new features include the option 'Cover Flow' for a 3D view of photos and other documents. One of the more subtle improvements is the 3D reflective Dock at the bottom of the screen to access programs such as Mail, safari etc.

That's nuts.
I'm probably a few weeks away from getting this myself.
Leaps and bounds beyond Tiger, it appears to me.

I really enjoy it. There isn't a whole lot of difference in the OS aside from the visuals. Oh, it does not include iLife. You have to install those from your OS X Tiger discs. They have even revamped Front Row.
