I was able to stop by at the studio with my daughter for a visit last night. We got to meet the Shilling Shockers gang and even got put on screen for a bit while they were filming a little between-scenes promo segment!
My daughter turns four next month, so this is the first year she's REALLY been into the whole Halloween thing. I wanted to bring her to this event because I figured it would be a special memory for her. Knowing that she'd probably be scared of a witch and (especiallly) a werewolf, I tried to build it up over the past couple of days--telling her that we were going to see these creatures who were my friends and who were good (even if they looked a bit scary). True to form, she was very shy when meeting them. Penny and Garou made a point of trying to engage her in a gentle way and I appreciated that (she DID accept some candy from Garou--guess chocolate can defeat the fear of being in close proximity to a werewolf). While she was very quiet and shy during our visit, as expected, as soon as we left all she could talk about was Penny and Garou!
P.S. She didn't have any nightmares last night, so apparently the visit wasn't too shocking for her
