After a 20 year hiatus, I have decided to take up the violin again. (I played it a bit while in Germany) Ever hear a cat scream while it's in heat? That's what I sounded like when I played.

That's GREAT!!! :D

I play the cello, and like you, haven't had a chance to play in the last several years. (I had to sell my cello.) I studied over 10 years and attended the New England Conservatory in Boston.

I had to give it up because, I was generally playing classic and modern instrumental stuff and this hick from Arkansas kept bugging me to play either Cotton Eyed Joe or Devil Went Down to Georgia

that's great your taking it back up. violin is a challenging but amazing instrument. i have a couple of friends who play it. keep it up!
