Hey gang,

Good to be back here! I'd love some help, if you're all up to the task:

I'm looking for a movie that has the following in it:

1. Black and white film, either called "she-devil" or "she-creature"

2. possibly British in origin

3. this unforgettable scene: the captured she-creature
pulls the arm off an attendant as he reaches through the bars
of a cage to hand her some food.

I'd appreciate any help you can give!!!!!

thanks a million,

Rich

aka Dr. Lucius Guardian.

Your description sounds like Cat People from 1982. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0083722/

I remember that scene!

Is "Cat Paople" the one you were thinking of Dr. Guardian? What you described unfortunately doesn't ring any bells with me. Sorry.

The closest thing I can think of with the arm-ripping-off scene is when the deformed creature rips off the arm of the doctor's assistant while the doctor's girlfriend's decapitated head watches in "The Brain that Wouldn't Die". Not a "she-creature", but it WAS telepathically (or something) connected to the chick's head. Though, now that I think of it, I believe the version of the movie we would have seen as kids on CDF was probably the edited one where they don't actually show the guy running around bleeding after hiw arm is ripped off...

Here's the movie "She-Devil" (1957), which I've never seen, at IMBD to see if it matches your memory:

I have seen "The She-Creature" (1956), and it doesn't seem to fit into your description, but here it is at IMDB anyway. If nothing else you can at least rule it out if it's not the right one:
