No need to get the hard copy. When you download it, you have to use their download manager in which you can create you DVD straight from the menus

Be patient. They haven't done this in 10 years

Just got word that their third release, THE WASP WOMAN is out this week. Still haven't seen THE DOOMSDAY MACHINE (their second outing) yet.

I've seen the first two releases and tend to agree with CDF Fan's assessment. But I'm willing to give them a chance to hit their stride.
...Speaking of Doomsday Machine: What the hell is up with that ending? Did they run out of money? There was no conclusion to the story, was there? I'll have to watch that ending again....

I still haven't managed to see any of these Cinematic Titanic episodes (other than a couple clips on YouTube). They just released their Christmas offering. Interestingly enough, it's "Santa Claus Conquers the Martians", which of course was already done by MST3K. It'll be interesting to see how it compares to the MST original. Hope they can find enough new stuff to say that it doesn't feel like a repeat! http://www.cinematictitanic.com/wpmu/santa.htmlAccording to the e-mail I received about the release, they send along a signed thank you card with any hard copy DVD purchased. Apparently "Santa Claus Conquers the Martians" includes one from Joel himself! Has anyone watched the "Doomsday Machine" episode yet? Is it any good? I saw the movie over the summer and it certainly seemed ripe for being made fun of. I agree with you Beastball about the ending. It makes absolutely NO sense. They seem to have run out of money, ideas, or maybe all the actors were already done when the director realized they never got around to making an ending. It's a shame too, because the beginning actually has promise of potentially being a good "bad" movie. It seems to be aspiring to be one of those space epics (mostly foreign produced) from the 60s.

Cinematic Titanic releases "Frankenstein's Castle of Freaks" today (January 8th). I hate to say this, but I STILL haven't seen any of these. Has anyone else seen any of the newer releases? What do you think? Here's the trailer for CT's "Frankenstein's Castle of Freaks": http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A1t5BBQ1kwQLooks like they're also doing some live shows at various locations. Here's some upcoming dates: FEB 13-14th - SAN FRANSICO, CA - Marines Memorial Theatre FEB 20-21st - BOSTON, MA - Somerville Theatre FEB 27-28th - CLEVELAND, OH - Hanna Theatre MAR 8th - AUSTIN, TX - Paramount Theatre MAR 13-14th - SEATTLE, WA - King Cat Theatre Even if the material on the releases hasn't been up to par with MST3K material, I'll bet watching these folks do it live would be a real hoot!
