 Universal Classics at Wal-Mart
Since Halloween is approaching, Universal has released the Classic Monster films on Blu-ray.
Dracula
Frankenstein
The Invisible Man
The Wolfman
The Creature from the Black Lagoon (my personal favorite)
Each for $10 or $9.96 if you want to get picky.

Each Blu-ray has Glow in Dark cover art.

Nice! Thanks for the info, Daimajinbob!

How is the quality of the picture on these Blu-rays?
I'm on the fence as to which disks to purchase, these new Blu-rays or a 6-disc collection...

Apparently Dracula went under massive restoration so the picture is outstanding. There's still some graininess but great upscaling for a film that's 85 years old.

Creature from the Black Lagoon obviously used up to date film stock and the upscale get to 1080p is very
well done and in 16:9 ratio.

Wow, this is going to be a tough decision. But I'm definitely gonna make these movies a part of my collection in time to enjoy for Halloween.

It was a tough decision but after looking at different options I decided on getting the 8-disc blu-ray collection of Universal Monsters: The Essential Collection.

This set includes:
Dracula (1931)
Frankenstein (1931)
The Mummy (1932)
The Invisible Man (1933)
The Bride of Frankenstein (1935)
The Wolf Man (1941)
The Phantom of the Opera (1943)
The Creature From the Black Lagoon (1954)

With this collection plus The Crow and It's The Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown my watchlist is now all set this Halloween weekend.

Happy Halloween, y'all!
